OVIT was founded in Milan in 1964 within the printing industry and, over the decades, has progressively specialised in the manufacture of washing equipment for the industrial printing and packaging sectors. A path of steady growth, driven by a constant pursuit of efficiency and reliability, that has made OVIT a benchmark in industrial and graphic washing.

2024: a unique group is born in Italy

In 2024, OVIT was acquired by Ciemme. The union of two historic companies gave rise to a group capable of covering the entire washing and solvent-recovery cycle with a complete range, from anilox and cliché washing to parts washing with solvent or water and detergent, through to distillation of spent solvent.

Over 60 years of OVIT experience and more than 40 years of Ciemme come together in a single industrial reality: more expertise, more technology, one partner for flexographic and rotogravure printing, converting, coating and industry.

The group covers every washing and solvent-recovery need with solutions designed to measure:

• Anilox and cliché washing systems — automatic, repeatable cleaning of anilox rollers and photopolymer clichés.
• Water and detergent washing tanks — water-based degreasing and cleaning of components.
• Solvent washing tanks — deep solvent cleaning of parts and equipment.
• Solvent distillers — recovery and regeneration of spent solvent, reducing costs and environmental impact.

The entire range is developed and assembled at our Modena plant. Bringing design, production and assembly together under one roof lets us guarantee maximum quality control, faster delivery times and solutions tailored to each customer’s real needs.
